Showcase Sunday - take 2

Lori Barnett has a great card to share! I was very organised and posted this week's showcase spot on midnight and I was in the land of nod when Lori emailed, but this idea is just too good not to share!

Lori made a cute fall card - but can you guess what elzy stamp she used???

Visit Lori's blog for the answer... it just shows how resourceful you stampers are!!

Thanks for the fantastic idea Lori!!

Showcase Sunday 31st Aug 08

Thank you to Wendy Hoff for sharing these beautiful Christmas cards.

I love how the design is followed through to the inside of the card...

... visit Wendy's blog to see more great Christmas cards using our stamps (if you scroll down, there's also a stunning card using Spiral Whisper stamps that you just have to see, both the outside and the inside are amazing!).

Have a great Sunday!

Life's a fairytale

If you don't know Lauren Meader (is that possible??!) she is a super duper blogger, an extremely talented stamper, as well as an all-round, down right amazing person! Her blog is my number one favourite by far and I always visit knowing I'm sure to be inspired, not only by her work but her wonderful attitude to life in general.

Some time ago, Lauren and I excitedly discussed the possibility of her joining the elzybells design team (what an honour that would be for me, can you imagine?!!). Unfortunately (for me), due to other commitments Lauren could not become part of our DT, she was recently promoted (deservedly so) to senior DT member for the fab company, Papertrey Ink.

Now, what's the next best thing to having Lauren on our design team? Having her as a guest designer of course! I'm very thankful to Lauren for taking the time out of her busy life to make some wonderful samples using stamps from our fairytale collection. It really is an honour.

Keep an eye on her blog for more great creations to come...!

Showcase Sunday 24 Aug '08

I so enjoy seeing your creations, it never ceases to amaze me how a simple image can be interpreted and completely transformed in so many ways. I am so humbled by everyone's work and wonderful, encouraging comments about my stamp designs. Showcase Sunday is so much fun and I really appreciate those people who have so enthusiastically taken part and inspired me and others.

These two adorable cards are by Elaine Hughes, the colours are so lush!

Here's a link to Elaine's SCS gallery and blog so you can see more of her wonderful creations.

Here's another cute doggy card, it's by Suzy Haghighi. The colours and accents make it seem so warm and homely to me, makes you want to cuddle up with that doggy, no matter how naughty he's been!!

You can find more details on how the card was made on Suzy's blog.

Here's a sweet get well card by Lori Barnett that's sure to brighten anyone's day if they're feeling poorly.

We are not launching any halloween images this year as I'm working on some special designs for next year, but look how ingenious this card is by Cookie Groover!

Cookie coloured the hair, adding white streaks using a gel pen and added a hat - how cool is that!!

(the elzy stamp used is from the elzybellsNA range).

19 August 2008

Christmas is here!

Well, it is in elzybells land anyway - all our Christmas stamps are now available in the shop!

I know there are a few of you - I'm sure you're out there somewhere, who are as disorganised as me and don't even want to think about Christmas cards just yet... well, I have added my fairytale collection to the shop too!

Some of you will be familiar with these stamps from before the online shop was launched. Well I've added a cute little "dinkie" rubber stamp set!

What do you think?? The wood mounted option will come as a boxed set and it can be purchased unmounted too. Be sure to check out the Christmas dinkie set!

Showcase Sunday - 17/08/08

Check out Lori Barnett's sweet birthday girl card on her BLOG :)

Here's a pocket card by Cookie with a great concept suggested by her 11 year old son.

Cookie: I was looking at my finished card of the couple after I made it and said to my son I think I will make a pocket card and then he said hey you know what you should put on the other side of the married couple, the Umbrella Couple! Right when he said that I was like Wow son what a great idea then I said "I could put "First Comes Love" "Then Comes Marriage". We made a great team on that card he is 11 and his mind is always working...I call it a Pocket Flip Card...Hope you like it.... You cant see in the pic but I added liquid pearls to her necklace, stardust glitter pen to the hearts and popped up his hat, her flowers and the umbrella.

Here's another card by Cookie. She popped up the kitty's head as if he's poking it through the flowers and added crystal effects to give a cute wet nose look.

This wonderfully bold and colourful card is by Kim Dellow, The patterned paper on the car is just fab!

Many thanks to Lori, Cookie and Kim for sharing their creations!
