Bluebird card

A few of you have asked how I created the wavy shape on the bluebird card - it wasn't freehand, it was my paisley nestabilities!
There's a very simple trick so that your paper is only cut along the bottom half.
First trim your paper to fit snugly inside the classic paisley scallop die and slide it inside like so:

Then feed it through the die cutter as normal and voilà, you have this:

I have the wizard die cutter and I used a larger spacer plate (S5) while cutting so that it covered the width of the die.
I hope this helps - it's a great little trick!

Thanks for that. I couldn't think how you did it! I need that die now. :)

NO WAY!! That is super cool but the Paisley dies are the very very very last set I said I needed because I wouldn't use it. Arrrgggh!!! Now I want it!! LOL.

That is incredibly neat-o!!! Thanks for sharing the "how-to", it's very helpful!!
Happy New Year!!! :D

How clever. Is that die from the large or small set? I didn't think I needed that set but now I am reconsidering.:O Thanks for sharing.

Hi Linda,

The code for the set is S4 135. I'm not sure that the paisley one comes as a large and small option?
But if it does, I'd recommend getting the large one as it will mean your card can be a little larger.
Hope that helps :)
