Showcase Sunday

Showcase Sunday is back and I've had lots of emails. So many of you are kind enough to share your elzybells creations! :)
So here goes in no particular order....

Vicki Cowley has been getting the hang of her koh-i-noors with these cards for father's day!

and here are some more great cards with a Father's day theme.
More gorgeous colouring by Donna Ferguson

and Jane Milllard

Now, I love this Father's day card by Kathy McAllister as it makes a sentiment the focal point rather than an image. I think this is great if your dad doesn't have the usual hobbies associated with father's day.

This very sweet card is by Amanda, for her niece who is turning 4. The teddy is the Teddy heart wreath (07-002) - a fantastic idea and so imaginative!

This beautiful baby card is by Leonie Wittendorp. I love the paper piecing :)

This *stunning* card is by Anne Ray. I love the various layers and 3d elements!

These two beautiful cards are by Jocelyn Knight (aka JoBear2 on her SCS gallery)

This lovely card is by Doreen Robertson

and last but by no means least, here's an amazing baby box by Inge Groot!

What a full showcase and all such beautiful creations! Thanks you so much to everyone for sharing them, they are a wonderful inspiration!

Happy Sunday!

Showcase Sunday

I love Sundays - I especially love sunny Sundays and I have a great line up for the showcase this week! So what better way to start than with this happy and sunny card by Jane Bracht!

Here's another warm card by Trix!

Next, this *beautiful* card is by Meahni Pieterse. The flower is gorgeous and is a nice balance of the patterned paper.

Next up is a bright and cheery card by Sue Tolley

Sue tolley

This beautiful floral card made for her nanna's 88th birthday is by Jane Millard.

I think this last card is actually my favourite of the week! It is by Jan Jackman and I love how Jan added the nails and washers and the SU patterned paper co-ordinates so well, don't you think?!

Thank you so very much to both Jane's, Trix, Meahni, Sue, and Jan for letting me share your gorgeous creations, it's always a pleasure for me to showcase them!!

** Note, that due to the fun birthday celebrations we have coming up throughout the whole of June, I won't be doing the showcase but it'll be back in July!! Ladies, you will all be added to the draw for July :)

If the weather's not great where you are, I hope these cards might have brightened your day up a little!

Have a wonderful sunny Sunday!

12 April 2009

Showcase Sunday

I have a fantastic line up of cards to share with you today! (click on the images for a larger view).
First up, here's a pretty card by Sharon Goold. It's really nice and simple and would put a smile on anyone's face :)

These cute and colourful Easter cards are by Kathy L. You just have to visit her blog and check out her adorable bookmarks!!

Staying with the theme of Easter, Sarah Fewings made these lovely treats for her friends and colleagues.

I bet they went down a treat! You can visit Sarah's blog here.

This adorable baby card is by Jane Millard. Jane is quite a novice cardmaker and stamper and it is the first time she has used a sewing machine to make a card - I just love the quilt and the little embellishments!!

Jane doesn't have a blog but she does have a busymitts account here so you can see her other creations.

Now I had a really lovely email from Rieca. She told me "I love your stamps because it gives me a chance to be creative and escape my every day life.  I love to colour, and your images are just so fun to colour!  When I am colouring it reminds me of my childhood."
I think that is lovely. I myself have redicovered the joy of colouring recently so I understand exactly what Rieca is saying. Here's Rieca's bold and beautiful card!

Rieca coloured the flowers with her copics - how about that for a great idea. That way you can ensure they match your card! Rieca has a blog here.

Now the final cards of the showcase are by Cookie Groover. Cookie has been a regular on the showcase and I know you love her work as I've had many emails enquiring whether she has a blog so that you can see more.
Well, I'm am happy to announce that Cookie recently took the plunge and set up a blog!! Here's the link - I saved it to my favourite's straight away!
If you're new to Cookie's creations, here are two examples of why you will love her work.

Cookie has a clean and simple style and always manages to make the most of the stamps she has in a very versatile way, turning them to any occasion or theme! The card above is the birthday girl holding an Easter basket!!
And below, Cookie has added an adorable bunny to the barrow (the Easter basket and the bunny are both from a Stamin' Up set).

Wishing you all a wonderful Easter.
hugs xxx

the second card is by Doreen Robertson, great colours!

Here is my favourite card this week. I'm in spring mode at the moment but this Christmas card is just gorgeous. It's by Jane Bracht. It's a very simple layout but the colouring and subtle background texture are beautiful!

Thanks so much to Elaine, Doreen and Jane for sharing your beautiful creations with us!
